Swan Eaters

Hello Swan Eaters readers!

First off, I apologize that it’s been so long since I updated this site. A WordPress update wiped out the strips a couple of years back, and I found in both disheartening and overwhelming (I could dress it up, or state it a bit more professionally–but there’s the truth). I wanted so much to get the Swan Eaters strips back up, but carving out the time proved difficult. My comic ‘Breaking Cat News’ was syndicated into newspapers in 2017 (hooray!!) and time has been a bit of a crunch and a scramble since. Very happily, I’m not complaining–but it made it hard to find the time to reconstruct the Swan Eaters site.

I have some good news, though–beginning October 1st, Swan Eaters will begin running on GoComics! It will start over for their readers and for you, so that there will once again be a space online where fans of the Hawker family can go to read about their adventures! I hope to weave in new strips from time to time, and my goal is properly finish Swan Eaters this time around. It’s a story with a beginning, middle, and end, and we all left off together somewhere around the late middle!

It’s free to read the comic on GoComics! I highly recommend creating a login and username, then you can comment on comics! (If you can, I certainly recommend getting a membership too, to support the cartoonists there like myself, and to avoid ads! It’s less than $2 a month!)

This site will not be updated, because behind the scenes this is happening because my editor on GoComics saw a thread where myself and Swan Eaters readers were lamenting that SE was no longer online, and the offer was made, “Give it all to us! We’ll post it for you!” This is the only way I’m able to get it back up online anytime soon, and I’m so grateful. GoComics and the people who work there have been amazing, and this is one more awesome thing they’ve helped me with. For a cartoonist who works in pen and ink and is not so hot with computers, they’ve truly been a godsend. Thank them, if you can!

I hope so much that you will tune in and enjoy Swan Eaters all over again! I hope you’re as excited for this as I am! And I hope that I finally have a chance to pick up where we left off, once the last cliff hanger rolls around again!
